This monthly gathering has been a great opportunity for our women officials to get to know each other and to learn from each other. New officials get to partner with veterans and have them evaluate their games and more seasoned officials learn how to study the game to prepare for the next level. We discuss rules, review game film, and discuss game situations. We had a fantastic session on conflict resolution on and off the court facilitated by Susan Hunter. We were also provided great feedback and understanding on how the role of women officials has evolved within DBOA by Pam Fox. There have been special surprises at each meeting such as personalized place mats with layouts of floor coverage, personalized buttons, and a fun gift exchange. We also have several outings planned to watch games and get live tips from some of our veteran officials. Dont be surprised if you look up and see the pinks shirts at your game!!!!. Training Pictures Please follow the link to pictures from our new officials training and from the South Garland Camp. Foul reporting area: clear players and use three point line as a guide (2 or 3 person mechanics). Lead will administer sideline throw-ins below the free throw line extended (2-person mechanics). Switch only on shooting fouls and calling official will stay table side (2-person mechanics). Three-person mechanics: Lead may move along endline to maintain better coverage if game clock is under 30 seconds in either half or overtime. This movement by lead does not initiate a rotation.. Clothes Closet If you have any uniform items that you no longer use and are still in good shape, please bring them to the upcoming meetings for the Clothes Closet.
